On the way – towards that ‘indeterminate boundary between the end and nothingness, which we call old age’. – François Mauriac

When does participation become a mere still-being-in-the-world, whilst life takes place elsewhere, memories fade, there is no longer any wfuture – and the person one once was slowly loses its contours? The series ‘Out of town’ is based on family experiences and those of many people in my immediate circle.

The images touch upon painful truths that one hopes are not universally true.

In my photography, I am interested in the subjective – my own perspective on my surroundings, with a particular fondness for close-ups and details.

In my photographs, I explore fleeting perceptions – a different way of seeing.
